Booking Terms and Conditions
We accept cash, debit, credit cards or cheques. Cheques must be received within 7 days prior to arrival. Credit cards incur a 2% charge. A 20% non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is payable on arrival. All bar expenses are payable by cash only.
To secure the reservation, card details must be provided and in accepting this booking the card holder is responsible for room(s) booked and gives authorisation for the card to be charged for any cancellation/loss/damage incurred whether by the lead guest or their guests. Rooms are available from 2pm although it is possible to arrive earlier and drop off luggage if required.
The Buckingham Lodge is a non-smoking establishment; guests smoking in the room will be charged £50 from the card details provided for the cost of deep cleaning to bring the room back to an acceptable condition.
In the event of a cancellation or non arrival, Buckingham Lodge reserve the right to charge the total value of the balance from the card details provided if cancelled or amended within 48hrs. 7 days or less notice will result in 50% charge and 14 to 7 days notice will result in a 25% charge of the balance due.

No refund will be given for temporary absence, meals booked and not taken, or early departures. Buckingham Lodge will refund the total amount if the guest house is unable to accommodate guests due to unforeseen circumstances such as fire and flood.
We ask guests to vacate rooms by 10.30 on day of departure. Again luggage can be left if spending the day in Torquay.
